  • Waterproof Tape Series

    The hot-melt waterproof tape, also known as heat-sealing tape, is applied to the seams of fabric after sewing to prevent water from seeping through the needle holes, thus achieving a waterproof effect. Additionally, the tape can reinforce the seam, preventing direct friction with the skin and discomfort.

    It is widely used in various applications, including footwear, outdoor leisure wear, raincoats, skiwear, tents, wetsuits, industrial workwear, and more.

    Processing considerations: It is essential to choose suitable fabrics and heat guns according to specific requirements. Additionally, the waterproof tape and adhesive film have a shelf life, so they should be stored away from high temperatures and direct sunlight. The tape can be stored for more than a year before use.

Operating precautions：

The softening point refers to the temperature at which the hot melt adhesive is completely melted. In actual operation, it should not be completely melted, as it will become a liquid state and not conducive to bonding. It should be in a semi-melted state for the best bonding effect.

During operation, the higher the speed, the higher the temperature, and vice versa.

During operation, adjust the temperature and speed according to the waterproof tape's condition: Try applying a small piece, then slowly peel it off to check if the hot melt adhesive is in a molten state and presents a thread-like appearance. If not, increase the temperature of the hot air gun or decrease the speed.

If the fabric is damaged due to high temperature, adjust the position of the hot air outlet. Suggested distance: Height 0.8-1cm, front and back 0.4-0.6cm.

After machine bonding, let it sit for 24 hours to allow the hot melt adhesive to crystallize and harden, preventing water seepage during testing.

Applicable Equipment - Hot Air Bonding Machine

This garment-making equipment is widely used for windproof and waterproof fabrics.
By subjecting the hot-melt tape to high temperatures, it firmly adheres to the seams. The hot air nozzle and the pressure from the upper and lower rollers ensure the waterproof tape is tightly applied to the fabric seams, preventing wind and water from penetrating through the needle holes and achieving windproof and waterproof functions.
The movement of the roller on the hot air nozzle ensures a fixed distance between the hot sealing tape and the hot air, preventing any impact on the seam sealing effect due to the thickness or thinness of the work material.
The swinging arm is equipped with precision x.y.z three-way nozzles, allowing for perfect angle cutting without scorching the fabric.

  • Seamless tape series

    The seamless tape series is used in functional clothing processing and can also be used for waterproof zipper bonding, seamless pockets, hat brims, decorative pieces, etc. It reduces the need for additional weight due to waterproof tape at the sewing seams, making functional garments lighter and thinner.
    Different types of hot-melt adhesive films are suitable for different fabrics and temperatures.

    The decorative heat transfer film can be used for labels or decorations on seamless garments, or to protect the edges of seamless bonded fabrics.
    The heat transfer film is made of Polyurethane and can be applied through hot pressing on various fabric surfaces and zipper edges, presenting a leather-like design with excellent durability.
