ePTFE membrane
  • Microporous PTFE Membrane

By selecting ePTFE resin material and going through a series of unique processes like blending, calendaring, biaxial stretching, and shaping, a microporous thin film is formed, with a thickness of approximately 20 to 70 micrometers and pore sizes ranging from 100 to 400 nanometers. Each square inch contains over 9 billion pores (SEM 5000x), making it about 1/20000 the size of a water droplet and 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule. This allows for an air permeability of approximately 0.2 to 6 cfm, resulting in excellent waterproof and breathable properties.

The ePTFE thin film can operate within a temperature range of -100°C to 260°C, possesses flame-retardant properties, excellent chemical stability, acid resistance, and alkali resistance. It can be laminated with various fabrics, enabling it to provide waterproofing, high moisture permeability, and breathability when used with functional fabrics.

FEATURES
  • High Flame Retardancy

Boasts various characteristics, such as chemical resistance and heat resistance.

Can be overlaid or used in combination with different substrate materials.

  • Continuous usage from -100°C to 260°C (recommended), and can be used for short durations at higher temperatures.

Low adhesion to sticky substances, easily cleaned with water and vibration.

Selective permeability allows air to pass through while blocking water infiltration.

  • Washable Microporous PTFE Membrane

The ePTFE single-component series is combined with advanced post-processing techniques to enable a one-sided PU release transfer process on the ePTFE film. This process transfers the PU adhesive onto the film, creating a dual-component ePTFE film, thereby improving the film's resistance to water wash (60~100 hours wet flex test), friction protection, and the stability of waterproofing strips during garment processing.

Another approach involves using the ePTFE single-component series with advanced anti-soiling post-processing techniques. The ePTFE film is processed on both sides using special techniques to retain breathability while enhancing its resistance to oil and dirt, achieving a soil resistance level of 4-6. Additionally, this process improves the performance of the functional fabric, making it capable of withstanding water washing up to 40-80 times.

  • PU Membrane

Micro-porous ePU film is a hydrophobic material that achieves excellent breathability by indirectly evaporating moisture and sweat. It effectively maintains its waterproof functionality while allowing for exceptional moisture permeability. The use of a low swell approach prevents rapid swelling even in heavy rain.

Polyurethane is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly film that poses no harm to the skin and does not cause any allergic reactions. Its thickness is approximately 400 to 700 micrometers, and the formed ePU surface exhibits a uniform distribution of micropores with consistent internal pore sizes, achieving a non-dense structure.
